Birds Caribbean, the ornithology group for the Caribbean, is holding it's every other year conference. There are 38 Cubans that have applied for assistance. The estimated cost is around $1500 a participant, although I know of 3 deserving people who can help with their cost and have brought the cost down to $1100. I would love to help at least one of them, if not more, get to the conference. All donations received in the next two weeks will go towards sending a Cuban to the conference. Attending international conferences are a big deal to their careers. Capri was gorgeous! Ummmm, paper sheets? New experience! Ski lifts to the top, I passed, but heard it was fab. Drinks with girls from the band, lemon cello spritzers, best croissant ever for breakfast! Thank you Franco!
