Gator Toastmasters

Gator Toastmasters Most Toastmasters meetings are comprised of approximately 15-20 people who meet weekly for approximately an hour.

If you are looking for a way to improve your leadership, speaking, and communication skills, plus meet people in Gainesville and from around the world, this is the place! Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian. There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is

evaluated by a member in a constructive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved. You learn and develop at your own designated pace in a supportive environment.

We had a splendid meeting. Rose Ann gave a speech about the "Baker Act". Olga provided the word of the day "Denovement". Table Topics were led by Viet. Thiago provided the evaluation. Ravi returned and will once again become a member. Hope to see everyone at 520 NW 5 Ave - DC 010 @ 6:30pm.

Thiago told us about the his favorite food. He delivered the speech with the word of the day "jubilant". Rose Ann had diverse themed Table Topics. We had two guests. William and Valentina came to visit. Hope to see you next Thursday.

The Blount Center will host Gator Toastmasters once again starting 8/26/2021. Please join us for our weekly meetings starting at
6:30 p to 7:30 p. Designated meeting room is DC-010.

Visitors are welcome. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early when you join us for the first time. This way any guests can be properly welcomed and greeted.
