On October 2nd, we celebrated ten years of housing, serving women, children, and families. We are truly great to our friends, partners, supporters, elected officials, former residents, volunteers, board members, and members of our community who celebrated with us.
It was an incredible evening!
Ten years ago, we began with a simple mission to house women who are pregnant and homeless and their children. Our theme is also our core belief: Every Baby Deserves a Home.
Over the years, that belief has grown into homes, programs, maternal health services, partnerships, advocacy, food provision, and a community committed to walking alongside families.
Our anniversary gave us an opportunity to remember the journey: the sacrifices, the answered prayers, the people who said yes when the vision seemed impossible, and most importantly, the courageous women and children who have trusted us to become part of their stories.
But October 2nd wasn’t only about looking back.
We unveiled the vision for what comes next.
We are preparing to expand our impact through a future VAWFSC campus, a place where housing, maternal health, wellness, education, workforce development, and family support can come together to help more women and children move from crisis toward long-term stability.
To everyone who has carried this mission with us over the last decade: thank you.
To every donor, volunteer, partner, church, business, elected leader, board member, staff member, friend, and community advocate who has invested in this work, this milestone belongs to you, too.
And to the women and children we have had the privilege of serving: you remain at the heart of everything we do.
Ten years brought us here.
