Florida 4-H Alumni + Friends representing the 4-H Foundation and Hall of Fame Committee were honored to surprise State Representative Allison Tant with news of her selection to the Hall of Fame.

Rep. Tant has been a champion for 4-H Camp Cherry Lake in Madison County, helping secure transformational support to revitalize this historic camp as a year-round outdoor learning center for ag, tech, and additional youth and workforce development programs.

youth from the Barnyard Challengers program took part in the UF IFAS Brevard County Extension Service Fair and Poultry Auction! Youth with disabilities along with their teen mentors showcased their work in poultry events, building confidence, skills, and inclusive opportunities in agriculture.

Continuing ’s Month of Service, we’re highlighting Nassau County 4-H youth as they brought native plants back into focus.

Youth built and placed native plant garden boxes in public spaces, beautifying the community while supporting local ecosystems. Each garden included signage to help others learn why native plants matter.

UF IFAS Escambia County 4-H youth took action against food insecurity through their Legacy Meals Spring Program by assembling low‑cost, shelf‑stable meal kits using ingredients from Dollar Tree!

They partnered with local churches, community groups, and explored connections with the Escambia County School District to distribute the kits to families, seniors, and youth in need. Through this project, they supported their community while learning meal planning, nutrition basics, and the impact of service.

Sumter County 4-H youth completed their Community Pride Project, “Little Pantry, Big Impact,” by building three community pantry boxes stocked with nonperishable foods, toiletries, and household essentials.

With help from a local woodshop and support from community donations, members kept the pantries filled for neighbors in need.

UF / IFAS Extension Leon County 4-H youth supported the Lott’s Community Garden to help provide fresh produce to food‑insecure neighborhoods across Leon County.

They worked alongside Second Harvest of the Big Bend to ensure seniors, children, unsheltered individuals, and other vulnerable neighbors had access to nutritious food.

We are proud of their service and the meaningful impact they made in their community!
