To close out the spring semester, hosted their Senior Sendoff, celebrating the Class of 2026 ahead of graduation this weekend! Students picked up merch, enjoyed food from three food trucks, snapped photos at the photobooth, listened to live music, and even tested their skills on a mechanical gator.

Last week, the Student Engagement 2026 Involvement Awards took place in the Reitz Union, recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of student organizations and student leaders across campus. Students had the opportunity to submit nominations for event, organization, and leadership categories.

On Friday, Student Engagement hosted a Student Assistant Appreciation Event in the Reitz Union Game Room to recognize and thank our student staff for their hard work and dedication across all areas.

During the event, Jonathan Docteur was honored with the Student Engagement Student Assistant of the Year Award! Congratulations as well to our outstanding nominees: Fauzia Haque, Angelina Ortiz, Isabella Miguelez, and Lily Haak.

Yesterday, the Office of Community & Belonging took students on a trip to Tallahassee! Throughout the day, students explored the city through a guided tour, visited the State Capitol, and participated in a curated panel featuring three Florida Gubernatorial Fellows.

We hope everyone who attended had a valuable and insightful experience!
