Tropical Weather Outlook

Central Subtropical Atlantic (AL95):
A broad area of low pressure centered a few hundred miles east-southeast of Bermuda continues to show signs of organization. Additional development of the low is possible, and this system could become a short-lived tropical depression or storm during the next couple of days while it moves northward and north-northeastward, well northeast of Bermuda. It has a medium (50 percent) chance of formation in 48 hours and in the next 7 days.

Eastern Tropical Atlantic:
A tropical wave and associated area of low pressure has moved offshore of west Africa with disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to be marginally conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form by the middle to latter portions of the week while the system moves generally westward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central tropical
Atlantic. It has a low (20 percent) chance of formation in 48 hours and a medium (60 percent) chance in the next 7 days.

Northern Gulf of America and near Florida (AL91):
Satellite images and surface observations indicate that a broad surface low is forming over the eastern Gulf of America. However, the associated winds remain light, and the showers and thunderstorms are still disorganized. Gradual development of this system is possible, and it could become a tropical depression while it moves slowly northward or north-northwestward during the next few days.
Interests along the Florida Gulf coast, southern Alabama, and southwestern Georgia should monitor the progress of this system as it is expected to bring heavy rain to portions of that region during the next several days. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the system on Sunday, if needed. It has a low (30 percent) chance of development in 48 hours and a medium (40 percent) chance in the next 7 days.
