My Sister's Place

My Sister's Place of Gainesville is a shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness. All of the proceeds are poured back into our program.

We are restoring hope for single women and women with children in Northeast Georgia who are experiencing homelessness. My Sister’s Place provides temporary shelter in a nurturing home, nutritious meals, and other basic necessities to the residents we serve. While they are with us, we provide the tools and resources to help them to be in a better position when they leave than they were in when they

Elsa recently treated one of our residents to a full hair makeover with a cut, highlights, and style. She has generously offered to continue providing a hair- makeover for one My Sister’s Place resident every month.

We are incredibly grateful for Elsa’s heart for giving back and for creating an experience that helps our residents feel confident, refreshed, and cared for. Thank you, Elsa, for making our residents feel so special!

We had a great time at our latest Art Enrichment Workshop!

Residents at My Sister’s Place spent the evening drawing from upside-down magazine images, which was a fun way to challenge themselves and look at art a little differently.

This workshop is part of our new Art Enrichment Program with Hall County Rotary and South Hall Rotary, led by art instructor Phil Dennis. Throughout the year, Phil and volunteers from both Rotary clubs will lead different art workshops for our residents, from drawing and pastels to clay sculpting and more.

We’re grateful to Hall County Rotary, South Hall Rotary, and Phil for creating these opportunities for our residents to be creative and learn something new!

What an incredible day! 🚗🔥

A huge THANK YOU to David Jackson for putting together an amazing car show and choosing to support My Sister’s Place! With over 45 cars participating, it was a fantastic turnout and such a fun way to bring our community together.
