Bulla Cubana Bulla Cubana is a series of events that aspires to cultivate the free flow of arts, culture, ideas an In Spanish, ‘Bulla’ means to an “ado”, a noise, or hubbub.

Taking place in and around the cultural centers of Gainesville, Bulla Cubana showcases the extraordinary artistic talent of invited fine artists, muralists, dancers, musicians, chefs, mixologists, photographers and filmmakers for a three-month city-wide celebration, January through March 2017. Uniting cultural institutions at venues large and small, Bulla Cubana is the first festival of its kind t

o cultivate and celebrate Cuban artistry through collaboration. Bulla Cubana events will encourage a cultural conversation inspired by the passion and spirit of Cuban arts and culture. Bulla is the perfect word to capture the energy and inspiration the events will bring to the Gainesville community. Pronounced ‘Boo-ya’ Cubana.
