The Gainesville Housing Authority (GHA) has opened its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program Waiting List

✅ Only 200 online pre-applications will be accepted for four (4) bedroom units at:
🏡 The Grove at Sweetwater Preserve
🏡 Harbor Cove

Once 200 applications have been received, the waiting list will close immediately.

To qualify, applicants must:
✔️ Meet HUD income eligibility requirements
✔️ Have a household size of 7 or 8 persons
✔️ Submit an online pre-application

The Gainesville Housing Authority (GHA) is opening its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List to the public!

📅 Wednesday, September 16, 2026
🕙 Applications Open at 10:00 AM

✅ 2,000 online pre-applications will be accepted. Once 2,000 applications have been received, the waiting list will close immediately.

Applicants must meet HUD income eligibility requirements based on household size. Please review the income limits shown in the attached public notice before applying.

Attention Homeless Veterans--you served our country, now let us serve you.

More than 100 housing vouchers are available NOW for eligible homeless veterans. You do not have to be from Alachua County. We are accepting referrals for eligible homeless veterans from anywhere within the United States and U.S. Territories.

Although there are no restrictions on where the Veteran is currently located, the Veteran must reside in Alachua County for a minimum of one year while using the voucher

Attend the upcoming Housing Connection event specified below and let us help you take the next step toward stable, permanent housing.
