Thank you all for attending our very first meeting last Monday! TODAY we officially begin Spanish Word of the Week Wednesdays, Vet Med Edition ✨.

Starting off strong with “Adrenal Gland”. In Spanish we call them “Glándulas Suprarrenales”.

Comment below any medical terms you would like to learn in Spanish! ⬇️💙 And if you happen to run into a Spanish-speaking friend, doctor or tech, don’t be shy to ask them to help you practice pronunciation! This way you are more than ready to tackle vet med in 2 languages when you graduate. Stay tuned! ✨

Meet our Club Advisor! Dr. Eduardo Benjamin

Dr. Benjamin, from San Juan, PR, is a clinical assistant professor of cardiology at the University of Florida. He received his DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 2017. He then completed a rotating internship at the University of Illinois in 2018 and a cardiology residency and master’s degree in veterinary clinical sciences at Washington State University in 2022. Fun fact: Dr. Benjamin had to deliver his second child at home after his wife’s labor progressed so quickly.
