Arnold Air Society's Dale E. Mabry Squadron at Detachment 150 served in a POW/MIA table ceremony at a dinner hosted by the Association of Military Alumni (AMA) at the University of Florida.

On 21 November 2025, C/DeMayo, C/Porter, C/Ogletree, C/Vargas, and C/Villalobos had the incredible opportunity to take part in a ceremony honoring service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The service caps at our table represented members from the following branches: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force.

The POW/MIA ceremony was an emotional experience for our cadets as its powerful meaning resonated with each of them. Every item on the table carried symbolic significance, representing the sacrifice of the missing and the hope for their return. Key elements included a white tablecloth for purity of intent, a single red rose for lives shed, and a slice of lemon for the bitterness of their fate. Each empty chair represented a service member from the corresponding branch who is absent due to being missing or fallen.

The Dale E. Mabry Squadron would like to thank the Association of Military Alumni (AMA) at the University of Florida for giving our cadets the opportunity to honor the missing and the fallen.

Last friday, Arnold Air Society cadets went to the Resident Home for Horses Inc to help clean up and clear out the Clerodendrum plants out of the native woodland areas.

C/Carrol, C/Hird, C/Lackey, and C/Sickles spent the day working in the woods and were able to spend some time to meet and pet the horses there. Thank you for letting us help!

This Tuesday, Arnold Air Society hosted a professional development seminar for Detachment 150. Organized by C/Sickles, this seminar went over Briefings. C/Dickerson, an AS400, was able to help over 10 cadets with briefing skills.

Overall, these professional development seminars will be hosted bi-weekly and provide great opportunities for growth and refinement in leadership, ROTC procedures, and professionalism for cadets of all levels.

Last week, our Squadron hosted the first Pancae Breakfast of the semester. It was a success, especially with C/DeMayo and C/Vargas both embracing their inner chef on the griddles. Thank you to everyone who showed up.

ARNOLD ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT!!✨✨
Introducing Captain Richard “Bing” Crumrine! He is an ABM stationed in New South Wales, Australia as an Exchange Officer with the Royal Australian Air Force. His coolest experience to date would be that he has been able to work with our joint forces to hopefully acquire the E-7 Wedgetail and work with British and Australian forces. He was a CC 12 having graduated candidacy that spring 2012. His favorite memory in Arnold was going to WASHINGCON and taking the position of Area IV commander where he met General Mark Welsh who got the whole convention to sing happy birthday to him!
Thank you Captain Crumrine and we cannot wait to hear more from your journeys.

This past weekend we had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with .hartingersq to make care baskets for the homeless during the winter and write letters to senior care centers. We had cadets from Det 150 go to USF to put together some baskets and we also had cadets from USF come to UF. It was an amazing collaboration event that was able to reach far and wide across Florida. We also were able to reach our goal of raising $400 to help support this event with the help of our families, friends, and alumni! Thank you so much to everyone who either came to help put baskets together or helped in donating items to help the homeless!
