The Rotary Club of Gainesville is a community service organization based in Gainesville, Florida and has been serving our community, country, and the world for over 100 years. We meet at the Cade Museum for Creativity and Innovation located on 811 S Main Street every Tuesday at noon. Being a Rotary member allows you to connect with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to join toge

ther in fellowship, to improve our communities, and to make a difference. Through our regular meetings and events, we enjoy great friendships, identify our community’s needs and develop creative solutions to meet those needs. Our scope is wide and includes assistance to communities we may never visit or see, due to our worldwide reach. By our fellowship we develop our leadership and professional skills, expand our network and have the ability to connect with other leaders who share our purpose in personal growth, community enhancement and service.

Yesterday’s Rotary meeting was a great one! We started with a New Member Craft Talk, where we had the chance to learn more about Patrick Foran and welcome him to the Rotary family.

We would also like to thank Keara Clancy with the Alachua Conservation Trust for joining us and sharing how the CrEEK Program is helping nearly 2,500 local K-12 students connect with nature through hands-on outdoor learning.

Thank you, Keara, for sharing the impact of this important program!

What a lovely piece about a lovely man who has impacted the skyline of Gainesville and surrounding areas in such an impactful way over the years. His story was incredibly interesting and we we delighted to honor him with our annual E.T and Vam York Service Above Self Award on Tuesday.

Award presented at Tuesday meeting.

Supporting Our Community! 🎒

At Rotary, we believe in uplifting our fellow clubs, especially when their efforts directly benefit our community. This year, the Rotary Club of Gainesville is hosting their annual “Un**es” drive, collecting new underwear to distribute to local elementary schools before the new school year begins.

We’re proud to contribute to this wonderful cause and help ensure that every child starts the school year with the essentials they need. Let’s work together to make a difference!

There is still time (and need) for underwear and donations to buy underwear.

Share this post on your own timeline so people YOU know who are not Rotarians can find out about this awesome project that makes a difference to students in our world.

A small investment from you (or someone like you) will turn a frown upside back to a smile when accidents happen at school.

Often overlooked, but much needed by our schools - NEW UNDERWEAR. Each year our club has donated thousands of pairs of un**es to Alachua County Public Schools so they can help our students quickly return to class to minimal embarrassment.

Everyone deserves the dignity of a dry t**h!

QR Codes will take to either our Amazon Wish List OR PayPal for monetary donations. Both are very welcome. If you shop through our wish list, the un**es will go straight to Kelley at the District for distribution.

Thank you everyone who makes this a successful project for our kids.
