This morning, Lakeview’s Class of 2026 woke up a little differently, as Lakeview alumni. 🎓

Yesterday’s commencement ceremony was filled with the traditions that make Lakeview special: graduates presenting roses to their mothers, seniors dressed in long white gowns and tuxes, college t-shirts proudly worn beneath tux jackets, and caps tossed into the air as the next chapter began.

The Class of 2026 leaves behind a legacy of excellence, leadership, and community. This class included state champions in basketball, Literary, and One-Act Play; a National Merit Finalist and Scholar; Region Players of the Year in soccer and football; and, most importantly, mentors and friends to younger students across campus.

Their impact on Lakeview will not be forgotten, and they will be deeply missed. We wish the Class of 2026 the very best as they begin their journeys this fall. 💙💛

The future is bright for Lakeview Academy’s Class of 2026!

Our 39 seniors were accepted to an incredible 73 colleges and universities across 20 states and 3 countries, and this fall, they’ll represent Lakeview at 18 institutions in 7 states, including Scotland! 🌎✈️

From Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia to Baylor, Clemson, Northeastern, SCAD, and the University of St Andrews, this class is headed to amazing destinations near and far.

Even more impressive, the Class of 2026 earned nearly $3.5 MILLION in merit scholarships (excluding HOPE and Zell Miller) and includes two collegiate athletes who will continue their athletic careers at the next level.💙💛

64% of the class will continue their journey right here in Georgia, while others venture across the country and the world to pursue their dreams.

Congratulations to the Lakeview Academy Class of 2026! 🎉

8th Grade Day of Service 💙

Students packed and organized diapers at Family Promise, cleaned and served at Gainesville First Presbyterian Church, gave the Lakeview buses a detailed wash on campus, and packed grocery boxes at Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

Our 8th grade service day is a reminder of the impact serving others can make. We are so proud of the class of 2030 for showing leadership, teamwork, and servant hearts throughout the day.

Thank you to all of our community partners for welcoming and encouraging our students!

⚽️Congratulations to Senior Sadie Leek for being selected as the Girls Region Player of the Year! Seniors Anna Kate Westmoreland, Eden Gonzalez and Amelia Corbin were selected to the Girls All Region Team and Sophomore Bora Ozcelik was selected to the Boys All Region Team! Good luck to both teams in the State Playoffs!🦁Go Lions!

Our innovation students turned creativity into something unforgettable. They designed and made custom wooden coasters for our kindergarten classes to gift their moms for Mother’s Day. It's the perfect mix of collaboration and heart. 💙
