In Memory of James "Jimmy" R. Boyd III 🍀 May 12, 1944 - June 12, 2026

Today we remember and honor Jimmy, and his quiet impact across his community and beyond. While Jimmy was not in 4-H as a youth, he believed in the power of the program and the potential of youth to make a positive impact in the world. Obituary: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/jacksonville-fl/james-boyd-12926233

In 2017, siblings Jimmy and Benita Boyd were recognized by Florida 4-H and UF/IFAS with the 4-H Lifetime Achievement Award for their transformational investments in the future of St. Johns County 4-H: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3iM_UObV9A

Since then both Jimmy and Benita have continued to support numerous 4-H opportunities, including cultivating future Extension and 4-H community educators through the Extension Internship Program with the UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. His legacy investment will continue to provide opportunities for generations of young people.

At 15-years-old Gemma Eldridge is a nationally ranked Junior Handler with the American Kennel Club. She got her start and training in the Crazy 4 Canines 4-H Club of Pinellas County: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/news/junior-handler-spotlight-gemma-eldridge/

“In 4-H, kids learn the basics of responsible dog ownership, such as nutrition, veterinary care, grooming, and training.” These young people are learning key life and employability skills. 🍀

Even more special, Gemma is mentored by Jupiter Piquet, a 4-H alumnus of the club who continues to give back as a volunteer and now co-leader.

That’s a whole lotta and whole lotta impact for youth in our communities 🍀

🎉 $1,101,870 raised! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Tractor Supply Co. team members and customers, the Spring Paper Clover campaign raised $1,101,870 to support local youth through 4‑H.

We’re especially grateful to the 4‑H’ers who showed up in Tractor Supply stores across the country, proudly sharing their 4‑H stories and sparking conversations about what’s possible for young people.

Funds raised through Paper Clover help create access to 4‑H camp and leadership experiences, empowering youth to build confidence, skills, and connections—so they’re truly for what’s next.

Thank you for making this impact possible! 💚🌱
