I agreed to host this writing workshop before this next level of economic disaster unfolded. Right now, being creative is what is bringing me joy in this time of personal, community and national crisis. Thanks to the late great Juanita Williams creating, crafting and telling stories is my happy place and I'm so grateful.

While putting this event together and pulling it off with very little funding is stressful as hell, I'm looking forward to it! I need the space to write and bond with like minded women.

I hope the women who participate will gain some insight and direction in their writing journey. I've had two more women reach out for scholarships, so I'm still fundraising so I can accommodate them. Remember a closed mouth doesn't get fed! If you or a friend would like to attend but can't afford it, please reach out and let me see what I can do.

By the way, we're also having an open mic Saturday night. It's free but registration is required. Workshop participants get first dibs on the mic and after that it's first come first serve!
