Springtime in North Georgia.
Enjoy it. Preserve it. Pass it on for generations.

The North Georgia Land Trust is working to protect farms, forests, lakes, parks and vistas for the benefit of all people. Every acre we conserve keeps North Georgia healthy and provides more places for everyone to get outdoors. Your donation fuels the North Georgia Land Trust and helps us protect the land we need and love, forever . . . and forever is a long time!

Consider giving in a way that works best for you—monthly, quarterly, or annually. Every contribution helps safeguard the places we love and keeps them thriving for future generations.

North Georgia Land Trust is excited to expand our outreach into another North Georgia county by connecting with landowners who own 50 acres or more. We plan to send 500 letters to introduce our mission and conservation opportunities, but we need your help to make it happen.

If just 13 supporters give $50 each, you will help us fully cover the cost of this mailing.

Would you consider making a $50 donation to help us reach these landowners and protect more of North Georgia’s natural landscape? Click the Donate button or visit: https://northgeorgialandtrust.org/

A rare and elusive red squirrel may be hiding in the forests of North Georgia—and researchers need your help to find it!

Wildlife biologists have recorded only about 10 sightings of these tiny, red-hued squirrels in the state. They’re believed to live mostly in hemlock and pine forests in the mountains of
northwest and northeast Georgia, but there’s still so much we don’t know.

If you’ve spotted one, your sighting could make a real difference. Researchers are working to better understand where these squirrels live and how habitat changes are affecting them.

What to do if you see one:
• Snap a photo (if you can!)
• Note the location and habitat
• Share your sighting on iNaturalist or directly email the professor, Dr. Andrew Edelman, who is requesting information: [email protected]

Your observations can help protect a species of growing conservation concern.
