OPEN CALL FOR ALL PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS

The Suwanee Arts Center is excited to be hosting its 5th Annual Photography Exhibit!

This open theme juried photography exhibition is an opportunity for all photographers to showcase their photos from September 18 - October 23.

We will be hosting a virtual opening reception on Zoom. We will announce our winners and get to meet the judge, Judith Pishnery. She will share her thoughts on how and why she chose the winners. We would also like to introduce the photography participants and have a question & answer session during the virtual opening. Pictures of your photos would also be included on our photography page on our website.

NGAA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of local art through exhibition, festivals and other arts education.

The 2020 Cu***ng FUMC Festival of Arts is Postponed
Dear Patrons,

Due to the coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic and the sn*******ng effect of the national and local response, the decision has been made to postpone the Festival until a later time.

Our reasoning includes but is not limited to the realization that our target audience is likely to be unable and/or unwilling to attend, leaving the Festival without any attendees. The majority of our artists also fall into this category. We believe that the economic impact the pandemic is having means that people will be unlikely to invest in artwork at this time. Without an audience or patrons, there would be no reason for the Festival to go on.

In addition, Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, resident Bishop of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church has mandated that all worship and large group gatherings of the churches be suspended for a two week period which prevents our being able to set up the Festival or host the opening weekend.

Your will be notified as soon as a decision is made about the rescheduling of the Festival of Arts.
