I walked into the store seven years ago with one goal: buy dog food. I wasn’t searching for a friend, let alone someone who would change my life.
But there he was—a tiny black puppy, sitting alone, eyes full of quiet hope. Something in me shifted.
I picked him up, placed him in the cart, and somehow knew—we were starting something.
I was clueless back then. A new dog dad with no idea what I was doing. But he didn’t care. He made space in that cart, and in my life, like he’d always belonged there.
Today, he’s grown into this strong, beautiful soul beside me.
Same cart. Same store. But countless memories between then and now.
He’s walked with me through every high and low. He’s taught me how to be better.
I still push him in that cart—not because he needs it, but because I need the reminder. Of where we started. Of what we built.
Here’s to every mile we’ve walked—and the many still to come.
