Tick Bite Study
In one of those nondescript new buildings on the edge of UF campus, with a name that tells you nothing of what goes on inside, I bled for science this morning.
I’m participating in a “Tick Bite Study” funded by Big Pharma. In my case, it’s more likely a “tick bait study”. It requires two small blood samples a few months apart, and answering a short questionnaire about travel, pets, outdoor activities, and demographics.
The study needs a hundred more participants, and there’s no special qualifications and only a few exclusions. I was in and out in 20 minutes, parking is simple, and you’ll help prove or disprove somebody’s hypothesis about tick saliva.
