On the final day of The Countdown to Auditions, we turn to the returning king

King Richard-(Masc presenting, fighting role) King Richard believes that now he is home, there’s no more battles to be had. A part of him hoping he can spend time reconnecting with his friends and family. But just because the war isn’t in his kingdom, doesn’t mean things haven’t changed and that enemies aren’t waiting for him. Hopefully he can learn fast, before he is no longer a king of anything.

On Day 2 of The Countdown to Auditions, we move to the folk hero and leader of the villagers

Robin Hood-(masc presenting, fighting role) Robin Hood lives up to his reputation. He is witty, a master of arms in his own right, and a hero for the people when one was needed most. But even so, celebrations are being had. He can’t help feeling nervous that King Richard seems to not be worried about the threat that Guy of Gisborne, The Sheriff of Nottingham, and those who still seek to put Prince John back on the throne.

On Day 3, we move onto the White Side Faction Leads. Starting with the leader of The Merry Men

Maid Marian-(femme presenting, fighting role) A woman who needs no introduction, Maid Marian is a beloved member of The Merry Men. Known for her sharp tongue and readiness to fight anyone who crosses her whether it be a stranger or family. Rumor has it she bested Prince John a few times when they were young.

Damsels in distress need not apply. Auditions for the fair maiden will be August 23rd & 24th at the Rosa B Williams Center. Auditions run 10am-2pm each day.

On Day 4 of The Countdown to Auditions, we move to the last faction lead of The Black Side and possibly a villain only in name…

The Sheriff of Nottingham-(any, fighting role) Many know The Sheriff of Nottingham to be an evil person, who comes up with hair brained plans that never work, and well known anger issues throughout the realm. Yet there is also very obvious fear and even sadness when dealing with their commander, Guy of Gisborne.

On Day 5 of The Countdown to Auditions, we have the leader of the Black Side military faction,

Guy of Gisborne-(any, fighting role) Guy of Gisborne is childish, argumentative, and always trying to gain more. More power, more anything, or just anything to benefit them. Guy of Gisborne sticks close to Prince John’s side in hopes that they will be rewarded for their efforts.

Starting a countdown leading up to auditions, on Day 6 and we will begin with the leader of the Black Side noble court

Prince John-(masc presenting, fighting role) Unless they work for him, no one has referred to Prince John a king. He’s never had the charisma of his brother, the grace of his cousin Marian, or any traits that show he would benefit from a seat of power. Which has festered his hatred, rage, and audacity to think he can take the throne with his brother now back in the kingdom.
