Partnership for Strong Families

Partnership for Strong Families Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is the lead child welfare agency in North Central Florida. Pfsf.org PSF serves judicial circuits 3 and 8.

Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is a community-based care lead agency contracted with the Department of Children and Families. While PSF is the Lead Agency for this community, we are by no means the only agency. For example, dependency case management services are provided by subcontracted providers (Lutheran Services Florida, Pathways Human Services of Florida, Camelot Community Care and CDS). And the local system of care depends upon the work of all of the agencies in the community.

Summer might be over, but these temperatures still call for a pool day! As your family goes to the pool, springs, beach, or the nearest river, be sure to keep these water safety tips in mind.

Currently, less than half of the children in out-of-home care are placed in their home county. By opening your home, you can make it possible for more children to stay in their community when they enter foster care. We love our partners! Cynthia Pindea-Soko from Red Cross recently delivered hand-made pillowcases for the kids in our care. Cynthia has a heart for kids who have gone through traumatic experiences, and that heart inspired her to create items that can bring a sense of comfort to them. Thank you, Cynthia, for your dedication towards making sure the kids in our care feel supported!

PSF’s Children’s Partnership Councils (CPCs) come together to strengthen caregivers and keep children safe. In the past month, nearly 50 community organizations gathered across multiple rural counties for the official relaunch, with the goal of identifying the unique needs in their communities and discovering ways to meet these challenges. We look forward to collaborating and addressing these barriers as we work together to support children and families in the coming fiscal year. If you are interested in joining your local CPC, please email us at [email protected].
