GAINESVILLE, FL — On September 8, from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm, music lovers and food enthusiasts can enjoy the acoustic ensemble, Hot Club de Ville as they kick off its new monthly performance schedule at Jalisco Modern Mexican Restaurant at 4401 NW 25th Place, behind Zaxby's.

The group is well known for bringing its signature vintage European swing improvisation and gypsy jazz music of legendary guitar pioneer Django Reinhardt to north central Florida. The band members include Marty Liquori and Rick Spence on guitars, alongside Gary Christensen on bass.

If you don't know about this great Mexican restaurant, that's part of why they "need" live jazz—to bring in new customers for the first time. I've eaten there many times and think the food is terrific and reasonably priced, along with a full bar.

4401 NW 25th Place, Gainesville, Florida

Jalisco Town is easy to find. It's located directly across the street from where Francesca's Trattoria was located (now 43rd St. Deli), on the far left end of that row of businesses. There's plenty of parking in the lot and on the street.

We will play from 6:30 - 9:00. When they seat you please tell them you are there for the music and want to sit on the right side (with the bar). The band will be located on the upper level in the far right corner.

I will be joined by Cindy Mueller (keyboard & vocals), David Ottenberg (double bass), and Ryan Hecker (drums).

Tuesday night ,December 16th , Hot Club de Ville will be playing at Public and General Restaurant at 1000 NE 16th Avenue. We will be subbing for our friend Howard Wapner.
Marty Liquori and Rick Spence on guitars and Gary Christensen on upright bass outdoors from 6 to 9. We hope you are already familiar with this hidden gem .
