Tailgate 2012 ~ Kickoff to a Cure, in its 7th year, will combine two of Gainesville’s favorite pastimes: food and football. With various companies, restaurants and families, the Saturday fun will offer guests the opportunity to tailgate with foods from local restaurants while cheering on the Florida Gators. The Florida Gators will provide the entertainment from the Vanderbilt game via TVs in Touch

down Terrace. During the first half, many of the area’s favorite restaurants will entice football fans with an indoor tailgate of signature fare. While our team is strategizing during halftime, the fans will bid on fabulous live auction prizes. A silent auction of artwork, sports memorabilia and great getaways will run throughout the day. The day will wind down with marvelous desserts and, hopefully, a big Gators’ win!

Good news! The Wall Street Journal awarded Kalydeco the 2012 Technology Innovation Award in the Medicine and Biotech category. The awards recognize technological breakthroughs that are “game-changers” or have a wide impact in their field and beyond.

The Wall Street Journal has just awarded Kalydeco, the first drug to address the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis, the 2012 Technology Innovation Award in the Medicine and Biotech category.

"Kick Off for a Cure" will be held at Touchdown Terrace in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this Saturday to raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
