Congratulations, seniors! You’ve worked hard to get accepted into college and are one step closer to achieving your dreams. However, you may have noticed that the cost of college can be a significant burden, especially for students from underrepresented communities. Did you know that Black and African American college graduates owe an average of $25,000 more in student loan debt than White college graduates? That staggering statistic highlights the need for financial assistance to help students bridge the gap. To help address this issue, we’re hosting a College and Scholarship Working Session at United Way on Wednesday, May 10 from 3-5p assisting students with completing their scholarship applications.
