Una canción para mi tierra (A Song for My Land)

What can a teacher do when his students and community are at risk? Turn music into a voice for change.

In a rural town in Argentina, Ramiro, a charismatic music teacher, discovers the impact of agricultural chemicals being sprayed near local schools. Together with his students, he begins creating songs to bring attention to the issue and raise awareness.

But when his initiative meets resistance within the community, Ramiro takes it a step further: he sets out to organize an "environmental Woodstock”, a gathering where music, students, and community can come together to amplify their message far beyond their hometown.

The film is also a powerful reminder of the role teachers can play in a child’s life. Teachers don’t just teach, they inspire, empower, and help young people find their voice.

🌎VOICES OF OUR LAND
This year’s festival theme celebrates the voices of people and communities connected to the land—and those working to protect it, preserve cultural heritage, and build a more sustainable future.
