Not just names on a membership roll—we need boots on the ground. People with gifts, talents, ideas, and a heart to SERVE.

Our elders carry stories that we cannot afford to lose. It’s time for the next generation to learn them, preserve them, and tell them RIGHT. ✊🏾

📚 Be the storyteller.
📸 Be the collector.
🗣️ Be the FACT teller.

Schools back in session and we’re gearing up to officially launch our youth initiative.

Parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, mentors — this one is for our young people.🖤

The Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society,
is looking for 25 middle and high school students ready to learn, lead, serve, explore, and connect.

Black History 365 is about taking history beyond the textbook. Through field trips, cultural experiences, community service, leadership development, educational workshops, and local Black history, we want our youth to understand not only where they come from—but the role they can play in where we’re going.

Our history deserves to be preserved.
Our stories deserve to be told.
And our young people deserve to know they are part of that story.

If you have a young person in your life who would benefit from this experience, send them our way!❤️💛💚
