✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: CASSANDRA FRICKS ✨

This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Cassandra Fricks, Community Resource Coordinator! 💚

One of Cassandra’s favorite parts of her position is building meaningful relationships with her elderly clients. More than anything, she hopes every client she works with remembers one thing: that she truly cares about them.

When she’s not serving her community, you might find Cassandra spending the weekend on the water with her paddleboard, listening to Sierra Ferrell, or dreaming about her next adventure—hiking the Dolomites in Italy! 🏔️

A few more fun facts about Cassandra: she loves Halloween 🎃, the Grand Tetons are her favorite place she’s traveled, she’s an early bird, and her advice to her younger self is simple but powerful: “Never settle!”

Her favorite inspirational quote says it best:
“Don’t wish for it, work for it.”

💗 Women Supporting Women & Building Stronger Communities! 💗

Ninth District Opportunity was proud to be represented by Jessica and Lateefah at the United Way Women’s Luncheon!

What a great opportunity to connect with other women and community leaders who are making a difference every day. And judging by this picture, Jessica and Lateefah definitely embraced the spirit of the event! 💕😎

We’re thankful for our partnership with United Way and for opportunities to come together, build relationships, and celebrate the “one of a kind” and “unstoppable” women serving our communities!

Ninth District Opportunity’s CSBG and Head Start teams had a great time participating in the Dawson County Family Connection Community Fair!

This year’s theme, “Building Our Community,” fits perfectly with what Community Action is all about—connecting families with resources, strengthening partnerships, and working together to build stronger communities.

Our team shared information about NDO programs and services, connected with families, and even gave our younger community builders a chance to get in on the fun! 🧱🚧

A big thank you to Dawson County Family Connection for bringing local organizations, families, and resources together. We’re proud to be part of a community that works together to help families thrive.
