With the storm approaching the Florida panhandle we have already been contacted to find out what space we have available to house animal evacuees. As with most sanctuaries, having space is usually not the issue. Feed, hay, medical supplies, fuel, and volunteers are what is needed. Animals and people will be stressed as the storm approaches and more so after. If you would like to help us help other in this time of need please contact us for ways to donate or volunteer!

PLEASE SHARE! IT'S FOR THE PONIES, DONKIES and PIGGIES!
We are currently in need of 2 pressure tanks, 2000' water pipe and miscellaneous fittings and valves! There are 4 wells on our property and 3 of them are not functioning. The water well and power meter for our house currently feeds the entire property and most of it is fed by garden hoses and extension cords. Last winter we had issues with frozen hoses, a ruptured water tank and power outages. Our biggest project is the installation of permanent underground utilities for the entire facility. Currently we have 100% of the electrical, propane, and data materials, and 25% of the plumbing supplies. Total remaining project materials cost is $2500-$3000, with all labor provided inhouse by staff and volunteers. Once complete it will provide water, primary and backup electrical, propane for heating, high speed data for security cameras, and facility wide internet. Additionally, it will allow us to separate the utilities which will simplify accounting and save due to tax-exempt status, reduce ongoing replacement of hoses and extension cords, and provide utilities for 2 of the 4 revenue generating approved farm stay RV sites.

I know I am bad at spelling, but I think today should be spelled Twosday because after Monday there is twice as much to do, like working and hugging a donkey! Butterscotch says hi!

I think Yazhi needs to start pulling a plow or we need to start making biodiesel! Almost $450 in diesel alone for September! The price of hay is going up also, but we stocked up so we are good for a few months.
