We are going on our 5th year of sending out Soldier Care Packages! We started sending them out in 2020, and that year we sent 7 out. Last year we sent out 24 Care packages!

Lindsay ISD has jumped on board with us to help collect items to send and prep the boxes this year. They have helped us going on 3 years. We can’t thank the elementary school and teachers enough for their love and support!

We would like to invite any other school that would like to participate in helping, or a classroom that would like to color a page/make a card to add to each box. If you are interested in being apart of this, shoot me a message.

These mean so much to me every year to send out, because it lets our local men and women know we have their backs and are a means of support, no matter how small. When my son was active duty and stationed in California, he felt so appreciated and loved from our community. They truly love to receive these boxes!

What goes in them…
Snacks- gotta have snacks! That is their favorite thing!
Hygiene products- shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, chapstick, buttwipes, foot powder, sunscreen, lotion, hand sanitizer… etc. For the ladies we put sanitary products in their boxes. If you would like to help with the cost of buying any of this stuff, or want to get it yourself and drop it off at RAK, we would be very grateful!

Parents or family members- they are allowed to add to the box, a small gift if they want to.

🆘Shipping on these boxes cost us around 20.00 each. We would be so grateful to have a sponsor help with this cost. It cost around 500.00 last year to mail off the boxes. 🆘

Who is eligible to receive a box?
1). The individual must be a resident or lived in Cooke County or the Surrounding Areas we serve. The towns we serve outside of Cooke are the ones that border Cooke County. The reason being is because we want to show our support from our hometown to those that left here to serve.
2). They MUST currently be active duty.
3). They CAN NOT be in boot camp. They are not allowed to receive packages during this timeframe.

If your person meets this criteria and you’d like to send him/her a box, nominate them below on the original post and message me their address. The address will remain private with me only.

This is such a blessing to do this each year! We are thankful to all that help make this a success! We have Venmo and PayPal if you wish to donate towards this.

We haven’t shared a lot of what our nonprofit has done recently but thought this was worth sharing.

What sets Random Acts of Kindness apart from the other Food Pantry’s here in Cooke County? We allow ourselves to be present even when we are not open. This is why we don’t have set hours. We do random things like this to prevent families from walking in the rain to get groceries. We accommodate for emergency groceries to help those who are in dire need. We are just a group that wants to be a blessing when we can and help others.

This is why keeping our food pantry shelves full is so vital. We currently are having a food drive and could use your help in refilling our shelves! Please consider taking a look at our list and showing your support not only to us, but our community. Thank you so much to all that support us and show us love!

Some packages have arrived from our Amazon Wishlist! Thank you so much to those that have placed an order. This food drive means a lot to me. We are hosting a food drive in honor of all those that have lost someone to su***de. September is su***de awareness month, and having personally been affected by tragedy myself, I’m hoping to bring hope into someone else’s life so they do not have to struggle without a meal.
One thing my son would tell me was that he was HOPELESS. Once you get to that point in your mental state, it can be hard to come back from. Random Acts of Kindness wishes to bring hope back into someone else’s life. Some of these families are struggling to feed their children. If you would like to help us stock our shelves, this is our link. If you prefer to donate to our Venmo, we can purchase the items cheaper here locally. You can also purchase food items and bring to RAK to drop off there. Our shelves are looking scarce. We appreciate any and all help.

We currently have 50.00 donated. 💜🩵

Thank you so much to Dollar Tree fo gathering some donations up for us. We truly appreciate your support! 🫶🏼

Thank you so much to SOUL FOOD of COOKE COUNTY ❤️ for donating approximately 40lbs of hamburger meat! ✝️

Edited… We received 50.00! TY! 🙏🏼❤️

This year I’d like to take a moment to reflect on those that have lost someone close to them to su***de. I’ve personally lost a few in my family but most recently, my son died by su***de February 8th, 2025. This is the worst pain a mother can feel. I got to look at my most painful self in the eye and try to overcome the depths of anguish and trauma I was in. Everyday is a new day to grow and mentally get better. I continue to put one foot in front of the other. As long as I’m doing that, I’m healing. This is just my story. Can you imagine all those that don’t have a support system in their lives to help them through this? The unanswered questions and the loss is unbearable. Su***de is something most don’t like to talk about, but it’s real and it’s happening more and more each day. Please, if you see someone struggling, reach out to them. You may be all they have.

I wanted to do a food drive in honor of my son, Zachary and all those that have lost someone to su***de. Zachary had such a giving heart and would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone. He helped me on many occasions up at RAK stocking the food pantry shelves and getting it all organized. Right now our shelves are depleted. We just expanded our food pantry room to make it larger to be able to help more individuals in need. Jana and Jerry has needed me to make this post for over a month, but it’s been hard to pull the words together to do this. I felt it on my heart to observe all those families and friends who have lost your special person and make this a food donation for the books! I pray it’s very successful. If you prefer to donate towards our food drive, we will be happy to go purchase the groceries ourselves to get it at a lower cost. If you prefer to buy outside of the Amazon Wishlist and drop groceries off with us, we will be more than happy to meet you at RAK to put them away on the shelves. We need the communities help. I will share our venmo in the comments. This is the link to our Amazon Wishlist. Thanks again for being apart of RAK’s mission to help others in our community! 💜🩵

This group has been going full speed for almost seven years, a testament to the power of dedication and perseverance. What began as a humble idea nurtured in the comfort of my home, soon blossomed into a vibrant entity that outgrew its initial space, thanks to Jeffrey Clancy’s generosity in providing us with a new space. As we reflect on our incredible journey, it's clear that divine providence has played a significant role in our success. Following my heart has been my guiding principle, and I'm grateful for the invaluable companionship of Jana Traymany and Jerry Proffer, who share my passion for empowering our community. Together, we form a formidable team, driven by our love for our community and our desire to see each member thrive. As we embark on this new chapter, we remain committed to our core values, inspired by our faith and our determination to make a lasting impact.

I want to thank each and everyone of you that has helped us along the way. We depend on you to make these acts of kindness possible. We solely depend on you for any monetary donations, food donations, children’s items, heaters/ac units, homeless care packages/supplies/motel assistance, donated prom dresses, and any other wild hair we get that we want to do in the community to bless others. Our hearts are truly in this. We love what we do. Being a volunteer and serving those in need as we can, truly brings new meaning to a kindness, hope, and love!

I will share our REVISED Amazon Wishlist in hopes of clearing the list by March 2nd. Every year I do a Birthday Fundraiser to replenish our food pantry. I turn 45 this year, and I’d love to make this year be our biggest outcome to date! So far we have approximately 230 items purchased for our Food Pantry. My personal goal is reaching 500+ by March 2nd. We would have so much food that would probably last us almost a year!

We have received 500.00 donation. We are going to use those funds to buy hamburger meat by the pound at Hess Meat Market. The last time we purchased meat from them it was around 800.00-900.00. I’ll look for that receipt and share it in the comments. We would love if we could possibly get help funding the remaining balance of that cost. We bought chicken from Tom Thumb and spent close to 300.00 there.

Things not added to the Amazon Wishlist because they are too expensive is Chicken Helper, Tuna Helper (I only found one brand that was cheap enough to add), and canned vegetables. We pass out green beans and corn with every person we help. We would love a couple of sponsors to help keep these items in stock for us.

We would love to have 1/2 gallon size milk, bread, and fresh eggs should anyone want to donate any of those. We have TONS of egg cartons we can exchange for the eggs! I know eggs are crazy expensive rn, but I know some of you have more chickens laying eggs than you know what to do with!

People are always asking me what do we need or how can you help…. These are a few ways we could use your assistance. It’s very hard for me to ask for help. I’m one of those that will try and do it all on my own. Having Jana and Jerry along side me, I’ve learned to allow others to take on task and responsibilities and to trust their work. So now we have all assigned each other task to do at RAK that play on our strengths. It’s working out great so far!

If you would prefer shopping elsewhere instead of Amazon, we are perfectly okay with that, and quite frankly we welcome it! Some of the Amazon prices are higher than store prices, but it’s very convenient. We are happy to pick up a Walmart order should you place an order and want us to grab it for you! I’ve done this before twice for members. Jenifer Franklin, manager at Dollar Tree, in Gainesville, has had a food drive at their store for us going on 3 years I believe. She may have another one this year. We welcome store brand food items! We are happy to receive any help you have to offer! If you prefer to send funds for us to purchase the food ourselves, we have Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, Messenger Pay, and we will accept cash/checks!

We are very hopeful for a great year for 2025! I have some things up my sleeve I am interested in doing! Stay tuned….

With Kind Regards,
Regina Beaver-Camberos

🚨🚨IMMEDIATE NEED!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!🚨🚨

RAK has been a beacon of hope for numerous families by providing them with food, even more so recently. We are facing a shortage of crucial items to create a meal for our families from our food pantry and items to give the kids. WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE! Please consider picking a few items from our list to help replenish our shelves. Every year for my birthday I launch a fundraiser to restock the shelves in March. I turn 45 this year! I’d love for this to be the best fundraiser we ever have had! 🥳 We have depleted our supplies sooner than expected and so I’ll start this fundraiser now rather than later. This is the link to our Amazon Wishlist! PLEASE, Please help! The link will be posted in the comments.

We are completely out of spaghetti sauce. We need cereal (I picked the cheapest I could find on Amazon), we need hamburger and tuna helper, Knorrs, snacks for the kids, peanut butter and so on. ❤️

My address is on there but it is hidden for my privacy. It gets delivered to my home and I then take it to RAK.

👗 It’s that time of year again! Prom is coming up and we are asking for any dresses that you may have and no longer need. These dresses have helped out hundreds of local girls the last 2 years. Our prom closet is pretty scarce right now, so we’re hoping to get it filled back up to be able to help even more this year. Thank you!
