Last month, the GBAA welcomed 4 new members to our Board of Directors and we've been introducing them on social media for the last few days.

Last, but not least, meet Connor Rodriguez! Connor hails from Chicago, Illinois where he is a technical consultant in industrial software. A member of the Gator Band from 2019-2023, Connor played trumpet. As a young alum, Connor is excited to bring energy and new ideas to the board. Most importantly, he is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the Gator Band and ready to get involved.

Last month, the GBAA welcomed 4 new members to our Board of Directors and we've been introducing them on social media for the last few days.

Today we introduce Ryan Lu! Ryan lives in Gainesville and is a Software Engineer for Infotech, Inc. Ryan played baritone in the Gator Band from 2020-2023, and served as Drum Major from 2023-2025. He brings technical skills to the GBAA that are transferable to many projects and he is already signed on to help produce our upcoming Virtual Alumni Band Camp next week. His drive and passion can be seen with his recent work on the GBAA Mentorship Committee! When not doting on his cat, he is staying current with Gator athletics!

Last month, the GBAA welcomed 4 new members to our Board of Directors and we'll be introducing them on social media for the next few days.

Meet Kim Gill! Kim, a resident of Sterling, Virginia, works as an IT Project Manager at VTG Defense. A member of the Gator Band from 1992-1996, Kim played piccolo and was also on staff during the 1997 season. She is very excited to be re-engaged with the Gator Band after many years of career and family-oriented priorities! Throughout her career, Kim has been especially good at connecting people and looks forward to applying those talents within the GBAA's Mentorship Program (and beyond!).

Last month, the GBAA welcomed 4 new members to our Board of Directors and we'll be introducing them on social media for the next few days. Each new member comes to us with fresh ideas, diverse experiences and a passion for giving back to the Gator Band! We are very excited to work with them while serving the Gator Band and the Gator Band Alumni Association for the 2026-2028 term.

First up, Janine Albert! Janine joins us from Bonita Springs, Florida where following a long career in broadcast meteorology, she currently is the Office Manager of Ferrari of Naples. Janine played piccolo in the Gator Band in 1991 and 1992 where she met her husband TJ. A proud Gator Band parent to two current students, Janine is excited to bring her experience in communications and financial management skills to the team. She is already active on the GBAA Mentorship Committee and will soon join our Communications team!

This Thursday, the Gator Band Alumni Association will join Gotham Gators, University of Florida Association of Hispanic Alumni, University of Florida Association of Lgbtq+ Alumni, Florida Blue Key Alumni, University of Florida - Association of Black Alumni, University of Florida Association of Asian Alumni, UF First Gen Alumni Association, University of Florida Association of Military Alumni, Florida Cicerones Alumni, and Dance Marathon at UF Alumni to welcome Gator grads who recently moved to the NYC area! This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with some of NYC's best and brightest Gators and learn about not only the Gotham Gators, but also many of UFAA’s affiliate groups.
