And just like that, it’s a wrap! ✊

The 2026 AFSCME International Convention has officially come to a close. Local 260 is incredibly grateful to our team member Bobby Coster and AFSCME representatives who showed up, spoke up, and made sure our members had a seat at the table.

Representation matters. Having our voices in the room matters. And we appreciate everyone who put in the time and effort to represent the hardworking members of AFSCME Local 260.

Chicago, it’s been fun! 🌃 Until next time…

📍 THE SECRET’S OUT… LOCAL 260 IS IN CHICAGO! 🌆✈️

If you guessed Chicago, you got it! 🎉

AFSCME Local 260 is being represented at the 2026 AFSCME International Convention by our delegate, Bobby Coster, pictured here with Michael Sampson, Florida AFSCME Deputy Administrator, who is also meeting with other local unions from around the country throughout the convention.

While we’re back home keeping things moving, Bobby is in Chicago making sure Local 260 has a seat at the table and a voice in the room. 💪

Proud to see our Local represented alongside union members from across the country.

One Family. One Union. Local 260. 🐊💙

This one hits a little close to home.

We’re incredibly thankful to hear that no one was injured in the helicopter crash in Anthony last night. Our thoughts are with everyone involved as they process what happened and recover from what was undoubtedly a frightening experience.

Incidents like this are also a reminder of the risks faced every day by all pilots and aviation professionals who take to the skies, whether flying for emergency services, commercial operations, general aviation, training, or simply for the love of flying.

Sending some extra thoughts and prayers to everyone who flies, everyone who has a loved one who flies, and everyone in between who is part of the aviation community. And of course, an extra special thought for our HEMS family — our pilots, flight crews, communication specialists, and everyone behind the scenes helping keep our aircraft and crews safe.

Stay strong. Stay safe. Watch out for one another. ❤️🚁

May every pilot, crew, and passenger make it home safely.

💪 Strength in Numbers. Strength in Unity.

The first day of negotiations is officially set for Friday, August 7, and we’d love to see our Local 260 family there to show your support.

Your presence matters.

When members attend negotiations, it sends a powerful message that we stand together. It reminds everyone at the table that the proposals being discussed aren’t just words on paper—they represent the hardworking professionals who serve our community every day.

This is also a great opportunity to see firsthand how your union works on your behalf. You’ll get a better understanding of the negotiation process, the issues we’re fighting for, and the dedication that goes into representing every member of Local 260.

If you’re free and available next Friday, we encourage you to join us. If you’d like more information or are interested in attending, send us a message and we’ll share the details.

Together, we are stronger.
Together, we have a voice.
Together, we can make a difference.

See you on August 7!
