☀️ Florida’s summer heat is here! Clay Electric shared some important heat safety tips as temperatures and heat indexes are expected to climb next week. Take a moment to check out their post and stay safe, hydrated, and look out for one another! 💧🌴

The Florida heat is about to get serious.

An increased risk of extreme heat is forecast across much of the state next week and into next weekend. Heat index values could climb above 105 degrees, with unusually warm nights offering little relief.

Take precautions before heading outside:

• Drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.
• Limit strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.
• Never leave children or pets inside a parked vehicle.

At home, make sure your air-conditioning filter is clean and use ceiling fans in occupied rooms to help you feel cooler. Keep an eye on local forecasts and take the heat seriously.

🇺🇸 June 6, 1944 – D-Day: A Day of Courage and Sacrifice

Today, we pause to remember the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy during D-Day, one of the most pivotal moments in history. Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to something greater than themselves changed the course of the world.

As union members, first responders, healthcare workers, and public servants, we understand the values of service, teamwork, and standing together in the face of adversity. The sacrifices made by those who served on D-Day remind us of the strength found in unity and the importance of protecting the freedoms and communities we cherish.

Today, we honor the heroes who gave so much and the veterans who continue to inspire future generations.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful.
