Next silent auction item will be sure get you in Christmas (cooler weather we pray) spirit! How cool is this custom Christmas lights for your house. The thought of someone doing this for me is beyond amazing because I sure don’t like climbing on the roof to do lights 😬 So thankful for all the amazing businesses and people that are donating for the silent auction. Okay okay I have dropped the ball here and I apologize! Let’s talk about Gala silent auction items — we have some amazing ones coming in and I’m so excited; I want all of them already.

Field of Dreams Embroidery from O’Donnell is also offering custom embroidery caps in the silent auction. They are offering a dozen as well as three custom embroidery caps made to your liking — how cool is that! This would be an awesome gift or great for a business to grab!

There work is absolutely amazing and this will be an awesome item available at the Gala which holy moly is just about 2 weeks away! Have you grabbed your tickets 🎟️ Steak dinner available for tables as well as VIP ticket holders! Then you will be able to bid on those desserts at the concert to top of your supper for the night! So excited for this fun evening ⭐️ 🧁🍰

We are exactly 3 weeks out today so if you haven’t gotten your tickets now is the time! Did I mention there will be a steak dinner available for the tables and VIP ticket holders! We will also have a bake sale auction and the families will bring their absolute best desserts that night and there are some amazing cooks! Don’t miss out on an evening of fun and supporting the kiddos of BCJLA.

Now let’s start talking about silent auction items for the Gala! This is for sure something you don’t want to miss out on—1 hour helicopter hunt donated by Miller Brothers Outfitters. This is one of the many items that will be available that night along with so many other great items. Stay tuned for more of the silent auction items that will be available.

Man if you missed the FFA gathering tonight you missed out on an evening full of fun and laughter! There was a watermelon spitting contest and let’s just say the picture explains who did not win against the kids! Yeppers this is the new Ag teacher! All jokes aside it was a great great evening and Brett Ga***rd is doing some pretty amazing things up there. Also I’m telling you the food was delicious too! Excited for the years to come and what he is going to do with the AG department!

Reach out if you are also interested in any type of lamb, goat or pig 🐷 Time is running out and yall the barns are filling up. Last count I have heard is around 50 exhibitors could be showing this year that is almost double from last year 🙌🏻 Let’s keep the momentum rolling.

Okay guys I know this is super quick decision. If you want to show a pen of market rabbits THIS year at our county show you MUST contact “Brett Ga***rd by tomorrow at lunch to ensure we can get them in time to show. They will be smaller rabbits. 🐰

Mr. Ga***rd will host an informative rabbit showing question and answer session on Monday night from 8 to 8:30 in the ag building.

We are trying to bring this show to life so please reach out — he is amazing and working hard to ensure everyone gets an opportunity.

The GALA is approaching quickly and this is an event you don’t want to miss out on! We will have a silent auction as well as a baked good auction. The ladies that are part of Borden County can BAKE so I’m telling you right now mark your calendars and jump on and get your tickets secured. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Borden County Junior Livestock Association. We have so many new families joining us this year and the traditions will continue to live on and we are so excited. Most kids have secured their projects and are working hard to prepare for the county show! Come out on Saturday, September 19th and meet the awesome kids that are part of our show! Can’t wait to see everyone!

Also to guarantee a steak dinner VIP tickets must be purchased by no later than 9/12!

Reminder that our BCJLA meeting will take place this evening at 6 at the event center. We will discuss awards and livestock show. If this is your first year please join us this evening.

Here’s some exciting and amazing news to share we have at least 8 new families that have jumped on board this year to show! That is HUGE and man are we beyond excited to have them join. Brett Ga***rd has been working really hard on getting animals gathered up and getting the barn in tip top shape for this projects 😁 So thankful for his willingness to jump right in and get it started off with a bang.
