Sickle cell disease effects approximately 1 in 400 black americans. Only 4% of current donors carry the Ro blood type, and the average adult with SCD needs over 60 units — demonstrating a need for more donors.

This Black History Month, The Faith Thomas Foundation will host a blood drive in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Ohio aimed at bringing in donors from marginalized and underrepresented groups.

Every donation matters — the more donors, the more chances for impact. Your blood is a lifeline.
