We are excited to launch our new summer hours this week! Make sure to take note of the new changes:

* Friday sessions are now 6th grade through 8th grade only.
* Saturday high school sessions are now grades 10+.

Get excited for our next Neurodivergent session! This Saturday from 5-7 we are inviting our neurodivergent friends to stop by and get to know each other more over ice cream and dinner! We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you so much to our friends for their service at the teen center! On Sunday, their group of volunteers mulched the front yard, garden, and backyard! We cannot thank them enough for their support and generosity. Make sure to stop by and check out the results!

We find ourselves flipping between opening the door for fifty teens on Friday nights to setting up the “Stay off my lawn!” signs on Saturday afternoons as we try to recover. 😀 Are there any lawn lovers out there who know how to do the recovery bit well? We’d like to focus on the kids, but we need someone who cheerfully helps us recover. If you love nurturing lawns and have a little free time, please let us know. Even 30 minutes a week clearing the trash, sticks, and stones out of the corners of the yard would be huge!! The254.org has links for how to get involved. Thank you!!

Are you interested in programming to support families navigating neurodiversity?

Tomorrow (Saturday) at 5pm we're hosting a lite dinner (looking like pizza unless we get any other suggestions!) to let families share with us what they'd like to see. Like all of our programs, this will be free. You can stop in just to check out the space (there will be no pressure at all), or you can meet with others to dream a little about what we could create together. If you have any interest in this topic, please fill out the registration form even if you can't make it tomorrow. Our goal is to remove barriers that might be standing in the way of creating community. I love when something shows up we didn’t order! And this was perfect. Our last decent ping pong paddle was injured last night, and I forgot to place an order. Someone knew! No name on this package, but please know we appreciate you! It’s s’more season too, so these plates will come in handy! We don’t always remember to say thanks, but we are truly grateful. Whether you donate monthly, drop off the occasional 12 pack, or send a random item from our wish list, you keep us going! No amount is too small. Each person involved is a vote of confidence that what we do matters. And if you’re not able to support us financially at this time, we still love you! There are other ways to show your support. If your student comes to 254, send us a note if you get a minute to let us know why. Those quotes are so valuable when we tell others what we do.
