Please be very vigilant with outdoor activities that could cause a wildfire.

WINDY days ahead, Oklahoma!

MONDAY will be hot with 80s and some 90s, winds 30-40 mph, humidity 15-30%. Extreme wildfire danger. Blowing dust and leaves.

TUESDAY will be hot and windy. In fact winds could be stronger with gusts to 50 mph out west. The humidity won’t be as low though. Still high fire danger.

WEDNESDAY there will be a severe threat as our cold front moves in! Heavy rain, storms, wind, and cooler temps.

HALLOWEEN looks dry and cooler!

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be in the 60s with high likelihood of rain!

We will Never Forget!

It’s been awhile since we have been active on our page and I have a few updates to share. We decided our Fire Deparement was in need of additional space to house our fleet of trucks and command vehicle. We are excited to say we have officially broke ground for an extension on our building! Quick history of our building, it was build in 1996 and officially put into service the same year. Our building has remained the same size since. We are so blessed to be able to have this addition, and it definitely would not be possible without all the help that we have received from our county employees and volunteer members of the community.

Even better, after the loss of a fire truck, we received a donated truck from Energy Transfer. The amazing team of Ellis county employees worked to get it all put together so we could get it into service quickly. We were recently able to get our decals put on it and it looks amazing! A big thank you to Kline”s Sign and Crane in Woodward for always taking great care of us!
