Everyone plays a role in this effort including families, schools, businesses, faith organizations, non-profit groups and government.

The Countdown to the Cherokee Flavor Fest has begun...37 more days until KNOW(2), the Salvation Army, Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, and Peach Center Ministries host the 2nd Annual Cherokee Flavor Fest at the Institute of Innovation - Cherokee County School District. The event will be from 5-7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now. We are still accepting vendors, sponsors, and silent auction items as well. A new FoodShare pickup location is expected to open in Blacksburg in late August, helping make fresh, affordable produce more accessible for even more families across Cherokee County.

This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to increasing food access and supporting healthier communities throughout the county.

You can order at 508 W Buford St tommorrow and Thursday from 10-1, Cherokee County Public Library 3:30-5 on Thursday, BGEN - Business Generator from 4-7 on Thursday, and also 10-12 on Friday! You can also order online anytime at KNOW2Cherokee.com! Each box is $20 cash, check, debit, or credit, or $5 with SNAP!! SNAP orders are only available in person unless you have set up a snaponline account!

Something exciting is cooking in Cherokee County!

We're excited to begin sharing plans for our upcoming Cherokee Flavor Fest and Silent Auction, taking place on September 22nd.

This community celebration will bring together local nonprofits, businesses, food vendors, volunteers, and neighbors for an evening centered around food, connection, and community impact. Proceeds will help support organizations working to address hunger and food insecurity throughout Cherokee County.

Guests can look forward to delicious tastings, community exhibits, family-friendly activities, entertainment, and a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences from local supporters.

We'll be sharing more details soon, including sponsorship opportunities and ways to support the silent auction.
