Etowah County Master Gardeners The Alabama Master Gardener program trains individuals who volunteer their expertise and services supporting the educational outreach mission of Extension.

The Etowah County Master Gardener Association is a group of lay gardeners, trained and sponsored by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The certified Master Gardeners volunteer their expertise and services to the community in support of the Cooperative Extension effort related to the horticultural sciences. The Alabama Master Gardener Program is a volunteer training program by which the Alab

ama Cooperative Extension System expands its outreach mission to the citizens of Alabama. Master Gardeners are trained volunteers that offer the local community Reliable, Relevant and Reachable gardening information and education opportunities. The Etowah County Master Gardeners Association began in 1992. Our volunteers work with the Helpline, assist with Habitat for Humanity and other community projects, work in our greenhouses in preparation for our annual plant sale, and present an annual scholarship to an Auburn University student majoring in horticulture.
