Children's Policy Council of EC is so excited to be sponsoring the KIDS Workshop again this year! We are bringing new speakers to the table to inform you about issues going on in the lives of youth and how you can help!

Our goal as a Children's Policy Council is to promote the wellbeing of children, adults and families in Etowah County through a network of agencies and resources. It takes us all to keep individuals safe and informed in our area.

**You do not have to be an Etowah County resident to attend.
This Workshop is completely free of charge and will offer you 4 CEU's for attending. If you need assistance signing up, please reach out to our Board Vice Chair Allison at [email protected].

Etowah County is in desperate need of more foster homes. If you, or someone you know has been thinking about it, at least give them a call and go to the first class.

Etowah County! Calling all those interested in becoming a foster parent.

Etowah County DHR is starting foster parent training classes on August 11 from 6-9 pm at Etowah DHR in Gadsden.

These classes are 10 weeks long and will occur every Monday following August 12. For more information, please call 256-622-8300.

Gadsden and Rainbow City Members—We Need Your Help!

We're collecting school supplies at both the Gadsden and Rainbow City branches to support children served by Etowah County DHR.

What’s Needed:
• Safety scissors
• Glue sticks
• Notebook paper
• Notebooks
• Pencils and pens
• Folders
• Backpacks

Drop off your donations in the collection box at either branch anytime between now and July 25.
