Sharing some pictures from Epic Charity Challenge 2026, Death Valley Tour. We had 12 riders and 7 support people getting challenged by desert heat and winds for 2 days on 4 different course rides.
Death Valley lived up to it's name with 95 degree heat and 30-40 mph winds, so choosing your course was crucial.
We raised $44k for Honor Flight San Diego to send our pre-1974 veterans to Washington DC to honor their service. Job well done, everyone!
No one died, although it was questionable a few times!

Direct donations to Honor Flight San Diego are always welcome at:

Every pedal stroke helps send a WWII, Korea, or Vietnam veteran to D.C. You ride the desert; they get the homecoming they earned 50 years ago. If you aren’t interested in riding, you can still be my wingman and donate to the cause via the link below.

Another Epic Charity Challenge event coming to benefit Honor Flight San Diego. It's not a bone crusher, but the intent is to raise funds for worthwhile cause nonetheless.

I'm putting a cycling fundraiser together for Honor Flight San Diego as repayment for their Seawolves and SEAL trips for our vets in 2024. Looking for the following:
Any San Diego guys with RV's (30 foot or bigger) to support by driving SD to Death Valley to Lone Pine and back on April 8-11. Gas and any other expenses reimbursed.

Cyclist able to go 270 miles in 2 days with 18k elevation change and willing to fundraise via social media or your networks a minimum of $5k each (fundraiser website with request templates, donor tracking, thank you and tax deductible letters is established)

Honor Flight flew 100 Seawolves and 100 SEAL vets to DC in 2024, and have done the same for over 2000 veterans that served from 1941-1973. Each trip costs $310k. They make these trips happen on private donations. With your help, I'd like to give them a check for $100k for the next trip.
The Honor Foundation has a term that resonates and that is to "send the elevator back down" for others. Let's do that.

If you can't/don't cycle or own an RV to support, you can still contribute to let Honor Flight San Diego know that NSW appreciates the mission. DM me or email anytime with questions or suggestions..
