YOUR 2026 CAMP AGAPÉ SUMMER STAFF HAVE ARRIVED!!

We’re thrilled to begin a new journey with this group of leaders, and excited to welcome in a few more new faces in the coming days. As our staff continue to learn, grow, and connect with each other over the few weeks, we ask you to keep them in your prayers; there is much to do before campers arrive, so we want them to know that they have all the love, support, and encouragement they need from this camp community.

Team Leader Training has officially started!

We’re excited to step into summer together at Camp Agapé, preparing our hearts and minds for all that God has in store.

This year’s summer theme is “AT GOD’S TABLE” (John 6:35), a reminder that in Christ we find true nourishment, welcome, and life.

We’re grateful to be part of the Synod Block Party at the 2026 NC Synod, ELCA Gathering! Thomas and Michael are here representing Camp Agapé and sharing all the exciting things happening at camp.

The Gathering theme invites us to “Come & See” what God is doing across the synod — and we’d love to invite you to come & see Camp Agapé too. New opportunities, new experiences, and new ways lives are being transformed through Christ-centered community are taking shape every day.

🌲✨ Ready for a first overnight camp adventure? ✨🌲

Young Folks Camp at Agapé is the perfect introduction to camp for campers going into 2nd–5th grades! Campers spend 3 days and 2 nights (Sunday–Tuesday) enjoying games, nature activities, Bible study, new friendships, and faith-filled fun alongside caring, trained counselors.

Mother-Daughter Retreat was SO MUCH FUN!!

Last weekend, we celebrated Mother’s Day weekend at Camp Agapé by singing songs, making crafts, riding canoes, and more. Together, we were reminded of how Jesus tells us, “Don’t Worry!” (simple, right?), that if God so clothes and cares for creation, surely God will do the same for us.

And, while we knew our worries wouldn’t just disappear when we returned home, we still looked to each other — mother to daughter, daughter to mother, grandmother to granddaughter — and gave thanks for some of the best reminders we have of God’s loving presence in our lives.

From camp to you…Happy belated Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother-figures!

A lot of volunteer activity is happening at camp today!

The Camp Keepers are hard at work in the Lodge renovating another bathroom, the second-to-last one, thanks to a generous gift from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Raleigh.

Meanwhile, the cross at the Lakeside Chapel is being prepped for a fresh coat of paint.

We are so grateful for the many hands and hearts helping care for this place and ministry!
