When the last campers of the summer head home, what do our summer staff do next? (Lots of things!)

This past weekend, our 2026 summer staff gathered for one final worship together, both to reflect on an impactful summer and to share messages of affirmation with one another. After that, it was camp clean-up time! They scrubbed tables and chairs, washed walls, reorganized several spaces around camp, and more. We finished our time together by cleaning up Agape’s adopted highway as a group.

Our staff also visited three local assisted living facilities during the weekend, where we dropped off nearly 200 cards and drawings made by our campers over the summer to remind the residents that they are loved and invited to God’s Table. It was a blast!

It was a meaningful way to cap off over two months of ministry with these young leaders. We’re sad to see them go for now, but we trust that their gifts will shine just as brightly away from camp as they did at camp. THANK YOU SUMMER STAFF! β˜€οΈβ€οΈ

The final week of summer camp is in the booksβ€”and Night Owls was the perfect way to finish!

Campers turned camp upside down with hiking, zip-lining, archery, Bunco, Discovery Time, creek critters, snakes, owl pellets, crafts, the paint pit, games, worship, campfires, and plenty of glow-in-the-dark funβ€”all after the sun went down!

As they stayed up later and later throughout the week, campers explored God's creation at night, built friendships, grew in faith, and discovered what it means to be a light.

What a wonderful way to close out an incredible summer at Camp AgapΓ©!

Another incredible week at Camp Agapé! ❀️ Prime Camp, Classic Camp, and High School Camp filled camp with laughter, adventure, and new friendships.

Campers enjoyed campfires, worship, singing, GaGa Ball, zip lining, Discovery Time, creek critters, owl pellet dissections and snakes, crafts (yay bead buddies!), homemade ice cream, and a fun Dr. Seuss-themed dinner on Thursday. Our High School campers also enjoyed tie-dye, river tubing, and an ice cream trip. What a week!

God continues to work through camp, creating unforgettable memories and life-changing experiences.

Another week of camp is in the books! 🌧️ Even with a rainy week, the fun never stopped. Campers enjoyed canoeing, Discovery Time, pond studies, fort building, campfires, s'mores, worship, and plenty of time exploring God's beautiful creation. Most of all, they built new friendships and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Rain or shine, there's always something special happening at Camp AgapΓ©! πŸ’™πŸŒ²

There was no shortage of smiles, laughter, and adventure as campers made memories that will last a lifetime. From Discovery Time and nature printing to team-building challenges, everyone had the chance to learn, grow, and have fun together.

Campers enjoyed canoeing and corcling on the pond, testing their skills in archery, exploring the creek, creating unique crafts, and even meeting some of God's fascinating creaturesβ€”including snakes!

We were also honored to welcome Bishop Emily Hartner of the North Carolina Synod (ELCA), who spent time with our campers and staff and experienced the joy of camp firsthand.

We packed a lot of fun into last week as we welcomed Young Folks Camp for a mini-week, enjoyed Base Camp adventures throughout the week, and wrapped things up with an amazing Grand Camp experience!

From paddling canoes and exploring God's creation to making crafts, singing camp songs, playing games, sharing laughs, and growing in faith together, every day was filled with joy, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
