It's that time of year -- time to determine the 2026 Fuquay-Varina Citizen of the Year!!

We are looking for nominations of individuals in our community who:
A) represent our diverse citizenry (gender, age, ethnicity, cultural background.
B) have performed exemplary community work outside of their employment that is visible to the residents of Fuquay-Varina.
and C) has exhibited good character in the performance of said community volunteerism.

On Saturday evening, our club attended the Pine Acres Fundraising Gala in celebration of their 60+ years of service in the community! At the event, we were presented with a Legacy Supporter Award for our support of the center and its many programs! It was a complete surprise, but we are proud of our partnership over the years and happy to move forward into the future with this great organization in the heart of our community! 🌎💙

This morning we enjoyed a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) update from Rodney Warren, who is their current President. CERT is an emergency response unit that is activated by the state in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. Our club sponsored the Fuquay-Varina CERT team’s inception and continues to support them as they grow and offer training/services to our community. Services they offer include disaster preparedness training, first aid training, search & rescue efforts, radio communication, and more.
