It's First Friday and Downtown is going to be awesome tonight! Thank you to for being our June First Friday Sponsor! Check out all the event tonight and make your plans to be in Downtown!

-Home Court Pickleball is hosting open plan. Stop in and see what all the wiffle tennis fuss is about 🤪 (j/k Kat!).
- is hosting an Open House & Pop-Up Market. Pop in and check out the retro games, posters, legos, sticker, art and more!
- will be performing with in front of the Welcome mural in the Vance Street Parking Lot from 6-8pm!
- will have their art gallery in the breezeway, featuring metal etching artist !

-Fuquay-Varina Family Law will have sidewalk chalk for people to decorate their driveway and parking lot in honor of Pride Month. They will also have a tie dye station (bring your own shirt)!
-The brewquay prowler will have $15 unlimited rides in Downtown, until 9pm, with stops at Quaint Plaza, Aviator and 1st Street!
- is planning to pair up with a local florist/artist and have a maker station at their entrance.

🎉It’s Friend Friday and today we’re excited to introduce and thank our new friends at iCode Fuquay-Varina

Hi, I’m Sajal Baral, Director of iCode Fuquay-Varina, located at 1852 Broad Street.

iCode is a hands-on STEM education center where kids learn coding, robotics, game development, and digital creation through real projects in an instructor-led environment. Our goal is to help students become creators with technology—not just consumers.

We’re excited to start our lessons/programs on June 1st 2026 but our doors officially opened May 14th and are now happy to be a part of the Fuquay-Varina community.

One of the things we already love most about Fuquay-Varina is how family-oriented and community-focused it is, which makes it the perfect fit for iCode. A fun fact about our program is that our learning path is modeled after martial arts, using a belt system with 10 different levels ranging from STEM Jr. all the way to Black Belt. Each belt is designed as a 9-month program, meaning students can continue learning and growing with us for many years.

A great day in Downtown Fuquay-Varina for me is enjoying the nice weather, walking around downtown, supporting local businesses, and seeing the community out together. One of my favorite events is Run the Quay because it’s amazing to see everyone come together and celebrate the energy and spirit of the community.

We wanted to become Friends of FVDA because we believe in supporting the local community and building meaningful connections with families, schools, and other businesses here in Fuquay-Varina.

Please join us for our ribbon cutting on June 16th at 12pm followed by our grand opening on Friday June 26th - we would love to meet as many of you as we can.

Patriotic pride is popping up in storefront windows throughout Downtown Fuquay-Varina as businesses join our Stars, Stripes & Storefronts celebration. Take a stroll, discover creative red, white, and blue displays, support local businesses, and vote for your favorite decorated storefront!

Businesses should have this flyer hanging in their window. Voting for your favorite will enter you into our drawing for $50 in Downtown Dollars to be given away in mid-July!

We will be showcasing decorated businesses all month so keep an eye out!

It’s Friend Friday and today we’re excited to introduce and thank our friends over at Big Chat Salon for their support and friendship!

Hi, I’m Nicole Haddock, owner and stylist at Big Chat Salon, located at 508 E Broad Street right here in Fuquay-Varina.

My husband and I were both born and raised in Fuquay-Varina and graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School, where we first met many years ago. I began working at the salon in 2011 under the previous owners before purchasing the business myself in 2015.

Big Chat Salon is home to 12 self-employed stylists who each rent their space from me, but we’re so much more than coworkers—we have a very special love for one another and our families. Over the years we’ve celebrated marriages, welcomed babies, supported one another through loss, and built lifelong friendships together. These ladies are truly like sisters to me, and our clients have become like extended family too.

One of our favorite Downtown events is the Candy Hop. We love meeting all the families that stop by and see us. We love to be part of such a fun community tradition each year.

Being a Friend of FVDA is important to me because I grew up here and have watched Fuquay-Varina grow and evolve over the years. I have seen so many businesses come and go over the years. I love supporting small businesses and seeing business owners succeed in our community and raise their families in our town.
