Today is National Coast Guard Day! Join us as we celebrate the service members of the Coast Guard, both active and inactive, honoring their courageous work and service to our country. It’s also a day we remember our founder, Mike Dorman, for his service in the Coast Guard. 🇺🇸

On Monday, Mr. Washington rang the bell and we were honored to be there for part of his journey. 🔔💙

Mr. Washington is one of our Warrior Wagon Veterans, and he has been courageously battling prostate cancer. For the past month, through every appointment, every difficult day, and every mile along the way, MMIA has been privileged to provide him with safe, dependable transportation to and from his treatments.

Monday was different.

He walked out of his final appointment and rang that bell, a sound filled with strength, hope, relief, and gratitude. It was more than just a bell. It was the sound of a Veteran refusing to give up. Mr. Washington told us how grateful he was for every ride, but the truth is, we are grateful for him. His courage reminds us why Warrior Wagon exists: no Veteran should ever have to face life’s hardest battles alone. Mr. Washington, we are incredibly proud of you. Thank you for allowing us to travel this road beside you.

Please join us in celebrating this amazing Veteran and keeping him in your thoughts as he continues his journey. 🇺🇸

On July 10th, volunteer Dan McMains represented us at the Kenansville Homeless Veteran Stand-Down. Opportunities like this provide much needed supplies to homeless Veterans. If you are interested in supporting this type of event, consider being a part of our Fill the Footlocker program. We’ll provide the footlocker and the attached list of the items we need and you can place it at your business, church, neighborhood clubhouse, or anywhere you’d like to collect items. For more information about the Fill the Footlocker program, visit our website!
