We were blessed by the fellowship and challenged by the encouraging words as Pastor Emmanuel shared his heart for the Pokot of Kacheliba, Kenya. We are very thankful for this group of brothers and sisters from The Gathering Community Church as they continue to pray for the Pokot and for Fishers Foundation.

Jambo everyone!
We are so grateful to be back after reaching a point in Lisa's stroke recovery that we are able to resume communicating with you! God is good!

Fishers Foundation will be introducing Pastor Emmanuel Longelech from Kenya to the Gathering Community Church in Fuquay Varina - where Steve is one of the Pastors - this Friday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. You are welcome to join us!

We will have a covered dish meal together as Pastor Emmanuel shares his ministry with Gathering Community Church, to consider a partnership with his ministry amongst the Pokot in Kacheleba, Kenya. Fishers Foundation is excited to be able facilitate this event.

Please pray for Fishers Foundation as we discern how the Lord directs us in ministry with the Pokot.

Hi everyone here is an update from Steve and a photo of the school's water source:

Again we praise God for his opening doors for us here as we enlist the personal support of the Governor of the West Pokot County here in Kenya and today we received the very enthusiastic support of the water Minister! This afternoon we are meeting with the Principal of the Kapenguria Boys HS to see about clean water for 1200 students. Water Missions International Kenya Office is now also involved and we praise God for His making His work here progress!

Hi Everyone - below is a report from Steve and a picture of livestock sharing the same water that is used to cook and clean with. Also in the picture - some precious children that need our help in bringing clean water to them.

Praise God that He has answered our prayers to meet the Governor of West Pokot today! We shared our heart about clean water for the people of Bendera and the Governor pledged his help. Please pray with us that the meeting with the Minister of Water, that the Governor suggested at the Bendera Spring, will take place! Also, The Lord brought to us the Principal of a local school with 1200 students. He was in the office with us as we met with the Governor. The school has water but it is not clean and the students are often sick from drinking it. We will see tomorrow also what The Lord would have us do to help this school get clean water. Please keep your prayers going as The Lord delights in answering our prayers of faith! Blessings Steve

Prayer request for Pastor Chumum!

Hi everyone - while Pastor Chumum was in the U.S. last year, he was diagnosed with glaucoma. A local doctor graciously provided Pastor Chumum with enough medication to treat his condition for a year. At the time of Pastor Chumum's doctor visit, the doctor urged Pastor Chumum to return to the U.S. in a year to have a follow-up appt. The doctor will do that follow-up appt. and continue to provide the medication for Pastor Chumum, at no cost. In March or April it will be time for Pastor Chumum to return to the U.S. so that he can receive the care that he needs. We are asking the Lord to provide the funds to get Pastor Chumum here. The cost to bring him to the U.S. will be $2,500.00. We anticipate, with great joy, sharing with you how your generosity helped our brother in Kenya! We look forward to what God will do!
