Our mission is to give back by utilizing the skills and resources of building industry members on shelter-related construction for the homeless and others at-risk in Maryland. Home Builders Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides cost-effective solutions to other non-profits with shelter-related construction needs.

We're moving right along! The Home Builders Care Foundation, alongside Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County and The Arc Carroll County Maryland are making great progress on the construction of two state-of-the-art, accessible and affordable homes in Carroll County.

These homes will provide safe, inclusive living spaces for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Another turn-key project complete!

The Ulman House, part of the Ulman Foundation, provides free housing for young adult cancer patients and their caregivers—creating a place of comfort, support, and community when it’s needed most.

We were proud to present a check to Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County and spend time learning more about the incredible work happening right here in our community.

During our visit, we toured the Habitat ReStore—a nonprofit thrift store and donation center that sells new and gently used items at a fraction of their original cost. From appliances and furniture to building materials and electronics, every purchase helps support local families.

We also met up with Ken Deckelman, Construction Site Supervisor for Habitat and toured the site, where the Home Builders Care Foundation is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County and The Arc of Carroll County to build two state-of-the-art, accessible, and affordable homes for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

It’s inspiring to see organizations come together to expand access to safe, inclusive housing and make a lasting impact.

Home Builders Care Foundation recently presented a check to Rebuilding Together Howard County, continuing a shared commitment to helping local homeowners in need.

Since 1992, this incredible organization has been providing free home repairs to low-income families. Today, they remain dedicated to supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and families who need a helping hand to maintain safe, healthy homes.
