Whew! That’s a wrap! We finished our first session of Level Up with a celebratory trip to Shyrock’s Corn Maze! The girls tackled the corn maze together, enjoyed roasting hot dogs and toasting marshmallows, and finished strong with a graduation ceremony and cheerleading stunts! Their friendship, teamwork, and positive energy were infectious!

As we look back on the past eight weeks, we are so grateful for this special group of young ladies—they are bright, goal-oriented, determined, and genuine! While we hope they leave the experience with a few more skills, we are incredibly thankful for the impact they had on all of us! They extended grace while we built the program, gave great feedback, and made us all so proud! We know the future is in great hands!

If you’re a young lady in 5th-12th grades, we hope you’ll join us for a future session of Level Up! AGLMN is definitely a place where seeds grow!! 🌻🌷🌹

Today we learned about the responsibilities and challenges that come with owning or operating businesses and charitable organizations!

We had the privilege of spending time with the following super-humans making the community of Fulton a better place:
- Andrea Ravelo, owner of Wild Sage Goods and Lulu's, along with many other businesses
- Kim Perry, owner of MS Kim's Fish & Chicken Shack
- Debbie LaRue, board member of Brick District Playhouse

We learned about balancing heart and profits, staying curious, being open to opportunities, staying true to yourself, and always giving back—skills these women have mastered!

And if you haven’t stopped in at these fabulous businesses, we encourage you to do so! They’re all gems in our fabulous Brick District! Thank you to each of them for sharing their time and talents with our young ladies.

Another Level Up Mentorship Saturday in the books! We talked about emotions and emotional healing….things that make us feel sad, angry, happy, proud, annoyed etc. The girls discussed and shared ways to cope with those feelings! We paired those different emotions with colors and expressed some emotions we felt throughout this week through art with a guided paint session! Thank you Lachana Baker for joining us and leading our activity portion! I think it’s safe to say we have some artist on our hands 🤍

It’s unboxing day! We want to send a HUGE shout out to our angels, our supporters—the folks who graciously funded supplies for our Level Up mentorship program! You are truly helping seeds grow!

We are overwhelmed with joy and certainly do not take for granted the glorious village we call ours! These young women are so fortunate to be in the company of other women who want them to succeed! Thanks again!

What a great weekend! We kicked off our Level Up mentorship program Saturday with 11 fantastic young women ready to lead and serve! We spent the day getting to know and trust one another, and then we explored who we are (our values, personalities, and attributes) and the roles we play (daughter, student, teammate, sibling, friend). I can't say enough about these ambitious, engaging girls--they have big plans and care deeply about leading with kindness! We're excited to see what happens during week two!
