BSA Troop 1006g FTX We are an all girl troop in Fulshear, TX. We meet on Mondays from 7:00-8:30pm.
¡Hablamos español! We are a new all-girl BSA troop in Fulshear, TX.

Our Troop was established in the Spring of 2023 to serve girls and young women ages 11 to 17 in our area. Our vision is to create a Troop that fosters a love for the outdoors, encourages skill building, champions all abilities, and empowers girls to demonstrate leadership. These efforts are guided by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law. Ultimately, our goal is to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment where girls can come together to have fun and create memories that will last a lifetime. Our troop offers weekly meetings and monthly adventures such as camping, outdoor skills, shooting sports, fishing and so much more!! We meet on Mondays from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Another great Troop 1006 campout in the books! 🏕️

Even with the heat, our Scouts rocked!! From hiking and cycling to cooking and advancement! We ended the night at the observatory 🔭, getting an amazing look at Saturn, the Moon, and more! 🪐🌙

Our Scouts spent some time practicing their first aid skills tonight… and let’s just say, they REALLY got into it! 🤕😂

From bandaging wounds to treating their very dramatic “patients,” they had plenty of laughs while practicing skills that could someday make a real difference.

Because the best kind of learning is the kind they don’t even realize is learning.

Not every Scout will become a wilderness expert, master camper, or knot-tying pro and that’s not really the point.

Scouting is about giving kids experiences and skills that stay with them long after the uniform is put away.

🌲 Get outside and experience real adventure.
🥾 Learn practical, real-world skills.
💪 Build confidence and independence.
🤝 Work as a team and create lasting friendships.
⭐ Develop leadership and problem-solving skills.
🔥 Learn resilience, responsibility, and perseverance.

And yes… they’ll probably learn to cook over a campfire, tie a knot that actually holds, pitch a tent in the dark, and survive an entire weekend without Wi-Fi. 😉

Because Scouting isn’t just about preparing for the next campout.

It’s about preparing for life.
