BSA Troop 1006g FTX We are an all girl troop in Fulshear, TX. We meet on Mondays from 7:00-8:30pm.

Our Troop was established in the Spring of 2023 to serve girls and young women ages 11 to 17 in our area. Our vision is to create a Troop that fosters a love for the outdoors, encourages skill building, champions all abilities, and empowers girls to demonstrate leadership. These efforts are guided by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law. Ultimately, our goal is to provide a supportive and enjo

yable environment where girls can come together to have fun and create memories that will last a lifetime. Our troop offers weekly meetings and monthly adventures such as camping, outdoor skills, shooting sports, fishing and so much more!! We meet on Mondays from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Tip of the Week: Camping in the Rain 🌧️

Rain doesn’t have to ruin your campout—it just means you need to camp smarter.
Pack extra socks in a waterproof bag, because dry feet make a huge difference. Set up a tarp over your cooking or hangout area first so you have a dry place to work. Keep your tent zipped closed as much as possible and never bring wet clothes or muddy boots inside. Use a ground cloth under your tent, but tuck it underneath so rainwater doesn’t collect. Most importantly, keep a positive attitude!! Some of the best camp memories happen when the weather doesn’t go as planned!

Easter is a season of renewal, hope, and gratitude—values that reflect the heart of the Scout Oath and Law. It’s also a time to remember that A Scout is Reverent, honoring both our own beliefs and the traditions of others.

🌟 Introducing: Scout Tip of the Week – Troop 1006! 🌟

Each week we’ll share a quick tip to help our Scouts stay prepared, safe, and ready for adventure. And here in Texas… that preparation definitely includes being ready for any kind of weather! 🤠🌦️

Scout Tip of the Week:
Spring weather loves to keep us guessing. One minute it’s sunshine… the next it’s wind, rain, and someone saying, “Wasn’t it supposed to be warm today?” ☀️💨🌧️

Dress in layers when heading outdoors. A good Scout knows you can always take a layer off, but it’s tough to add one if you didn’t bring it!

Being prepared means you can enjoy the adventure no matter what the Texas weather decides to do! 🌤️

Spent today working on the Nature Merit Badge, and it was an awesome experience! 🌿

It was a full day of learning from nature experts, exploring the outdoors, and getting hands-on with different activities that helped us understand ecosystems, plants, and wildlife better. We got to observe nature up close, ask lots of questions, and learn how everything in the environment is connected.

It was a great chance to spend time outside, learn new things, and appreciate the natural world around us.

Did you know?

St. Mother Teresa once said, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” What’s beautiful is that she didn’t start with huge missions — she began by simply stepping outside to care for one person at a time in Kolkata. Those small acts of love grew into the worldwide mission of the Missionaries of Charity, serving the poorest of the poor.

We’re excited to share that our Catholic Scouts from our charter organization have officially begun learning about saints and working on the Catholic Saints Patch Series! 🙌

As we study the lives of holy men and women like Mother Teresa, our Scouts are discovering how they, too, can live their faith through service, kindness, and courage right where they are.

Small things. Great love. Big impact. ✨

Today, some of our Scouts put their Good Turn into action by volunteering at our community’s Family Hope Food Drive! 🥫

With big smiles and even bigger hearts, they helped fill bags of food for families.

We are so proud of the way they represented our troop and supported such an important cause in our community. Every bag filled can made a difference for families in need.

Way to go, Scouts! 👏 Keep living the Scout Oath and Law every day!
