We're getting some quality time in Fishing For Therapy while everyone is out for Black Friday shopping. Very peaceful, and quiet at Diamond Valley Lake. Here's Chris with a nice catch. I Love Fishing For Therapy. Have a great day from Sgt. Bravo Foundation.

We gather on this day to be thankful for what we have, for the families we love, all the friends we cherish, and for the blessing that will come. Happy Thanksgiving from Sgt. Bravo Foundation to you all!

Hello FB friends, Yes, everything was going fine, and we were ready to add another update for 2020 until the World Pandemic of COVID 19 hit. So, we shut down to not put anyone in harm's way. Then, we hear of how people are suffering in their own minds while staying safe at home. So, I have elected to send them the poems I wrote. They touch on issues like the opioid epidemic, su***de, and veterans in general. The feedback has been tremendous. I have veterans, and their families thanking me for the poems they've received. I know it's tough to stay home so, I'm happy to give them hope with something to read, and something that relates to what they may be going through. I have also mentioned this to some of the people who gave me a boost when I needed it. So, I sent them the poems too. Most of what we do at Sgt. Bravo Foundation is get together type stuff. Reaching out to one another with fishing trips, The VBQ (Veterans BBQ), kite flying, drone flying, and more. We will do our best to be safe during this crazy shutdown to help veterans. Last, I have given away lots of fishing gear to those who continue to use fishing for therapy. So much is at stake this year. We are talking about saving lives. Whether it be the pandemic, or su***de. Give a friend a hand, and give them hope. Be safe FB friends.

I was messing around with Sgt. Bravo Foundation mission statement. You see, we have barely opened our eyes to 2020, and we have to stay focused on supporting su***de prevention. There is so much more work to do here with all the statistics on su***de. We started out helping veterans. Now, Sgt. Bravo Foundation has seen the need to support police, fire, and first responders. Also, a sad statistic that millennials need help. Well, Sgt. Bravo Foundation has been there, listening to their stories, and talking with them. None of this could happen without the support from veterans, friends, local businesses, and many others. Yes, we've had a couple Fishing for Therapy trips this year, but not anything to write home about. We'll have a full 2020 Focus update coming soon.

We are very proud to be a part of Covina Field of Valor created by Linda Logan, and supported 100% by Covina Rotary Club. This is what I was speaking about with the many great citizens of Covina. Turn those ideas in your mind into the great programs that support communities. Please, go to Covina Field of Valor web page and see the results of Linda's amazing ideas. Covina Field of Valor helps veterans with problems, and there is an application veterans can fill out on the website to apply for the assistance. You can also donate to Covina Field of Valor by sponsoring a flag dedicated to someone who served. Review the website for flag dedications, and donations. I was very humbled by the introduction by Covina Police Chief Curly. I don't do this for recognition, or money. I bring awareness of su***de, opioid addiction, and current events that affect veterans by mentioning what PTSD did to me. I even had some veterans who mentioned to me what PTSD did to them. Now, our work continues by getting our hands dirty to prevent su***de, heal depression, and make new friends. Thank you so much Linda Logan Covina Field of Valor, Covina Rotary Club, Covina Police Chief Curly, Councilman Lloyd Johnson City of West Covina, Young Marine's, and special guests.
