American Veteran Watchdogs is a Non Profit Organization, founded in Southern California with its first chapter with charters, being planned across the United States. Membership includes active duty personnel and veterans from all military branches, as well as civilians. Everyone is welcome to be a member or help with the cause in any way they can. American Veteran Watchdogs main objective is to help veterans transition to civilian life through unconventional methods to help reduce veteran suicides and homelessness and unite us as one brotherhood. Secondary goals are to help prepare civilians for manmade or natural disasters, e.g. self defense training, survival skills and military disciplines. How:
Give veterans a place to belong where they can help protect each other and know they have people they can depend on. Veterans and civilians will work with each other to help veterans in need such as feeding homeless veterans and training in disaster preparedness. All veteran members will be given responsibilities based on their fields of expertise while working with civilians. This will be done though local meetings, community outreach and public service as well as military style training.
