Crew 726-9L has completed their 9 day trek! From mountain meadows, to valleys dense with pines, by peaceful lakes, over flowing creeks, through rain & hail, wind & rain, above the trees & up to the top of the "Tooth of Time", our feet are weary, but our souls are filled & refreshed with appreciation for the beauty and wonder of a special piece of paradise called Philmont... we know we will see you again

The train ride to Raton has been quite a lengthy journey! Some of us got a lot of sleep, others, not so much! We're a few hours behind schedule, but we've enjoyed some beautiful views, a quick stop in Albu-quirky and elk sightings along the way. Philmont.... We're coming

June was all about the Patrol Method! It was great to refresh the older scouts, and teach the new scouts with practical hands-on demos - Patrol box contents, proper dishwashing tequnigue, and patrol meals (menu planning, budget, cooking, and eating together). The scouts truly understand and embraced concept that "many hands make light work " 💪
